The Repertory Theatre is disappointed that the University has introduced charges that may affect some of our patrons coming to events at the theatre and choosing to park at the University. However, patrons have benefitted from free parking at the University for many years due to the generosity of the University Authorities for which the Theatre has been extremely grateful.

The University has introduced the charges to try to eliminate the unauthorised parking which occurs in the area. The theatre itself introduced an ANPR parking system three or four years ago to eliminate unauthorised parking during the day which was causing problems for theatre staff and deliveries to the theatre.

In order to create as much parking space as possible for patrons attending the theatre for performances the theatre is planning to provide off site parking for crew and cast and leave the theatre car park free for patrons parking.

The Rep hopes that patrons will not be dettered from attending the theatre because of the charges and  I will be endeavouring to create as much free parking at the theatre as possible.

To ensure a free parking space on site at the Rep

Patrons are advised to arrive at theatre in plenty of time prior to start
